| Director: Ajai Tripathi |
| Auditions August 27, 28, 29 Performance October 26, 27,
28, November 1, 2, 3, 4 |
| Although many nineteenth century philosophers developed
the concepts of existentialism, it was the French writer Jean Paul
Sartre who popularized it. His one act play, first produced in Paris in
May, 1944, is the clearest example and metaphor for this philosophy.
There are only four characters, and the entire play takes place in a
drawing room. However, the piece contains essential gems of
existentialist thought such as “Hell is other people.” As you watch the
play, put yourself in that drawing room with the two people you hate
most in the world. |

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES |
| Director: Mary Jeanne Reynales |
| Auditions October 15, 16, 17 Performance December 28,
29, 30, 31, January 3, 4, 5, 6 |
| In December, round up family and friends for a visit
with Anne Shirley, the indomitable heroine of L.M. Montgomery’s beloved
Anne of Green Gables, adapted for the stage by Alice Chadwicke. All the
magic and charm of Green Gables comes to life in this family favorite!
When Marilla Cuthbert and her brother Matthew decided to keep the
independent, red-headed orphan girl sent to help out around their
farm—instead of the boy they had expected—they never imagined that she
would change their lives and touch the hearts of all who came to know
and love her. First published in 1908, Lucy Maude Montgomery’s enduring
Anne of Green Gables is one of the best-selling English-Canadian novels
ever, and has been adapted numerous times into plays, musicals, and TV
series. |

16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24 |
| Reality is in the mind of the beholder. Believing is
seeing. Elwood P. Dowd’s best friend and constant companion is a 6ft
1½-inch invisible rabbit named Harvey. Many people, upon being
introduced to Harvey, think that Elwood is a crack-pot who drinks too
much. However, after a certain amount of mistaken identity mayhem—and
after Elwood charms everyone into submission—all come to the conclusion
that there are a lot worse things in this world than a little
self-prescribed reality. |

REEFER MADNESS |
| Director: Miranda Prince |
| Auditions February 18, 19, 20 Performance May 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, June 1 |
| Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name,
this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria
caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana. Not for the easily
offended (but lots of grownup fun for everyone else), REEFER MADNESS is
a highly stylized and satirical political commentary. |

| All hell breaks loose and the laughs fly when five
outrageous contestants show up at Vinnie’s Belly Laugh Club for the
final talent competition. A ventriloquist with moving lips, a foul
mouthed stand up comedian, a baton twirling bimbo, the flamboyant owner
of a lip synching poodle, a chanteuse with a questionable accent and a
hypnotist with a twitch. All fight to win the grand prize. When Vinnie
turns up dead, they’re all suspects and the audience has the time of its
life grilling them and fingering the murderer. |
