Tips on Theater Etiquette and Late Seating
Here are a few tips and reminders for an enjoyable theater experience:
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes
before curtain time.
- Leave extra time for parking,
especially if picking up tickets in the will-call line. Please plan on being seated by ten
minutes before curtain, and be sure to allow enough time for a restroom visit
and hanging up clothing (there's a coat rack in the lobby.) We will do our
best to start on time, but we need your cooperation to do so.
- Running late? Late arrivals may be seated near the back until the first scene change if seats are
available. If the House Manager determines that this is not possible,
late arrivals will have to wait for the first scene change or until intermission. PLEASE, once you enter the auditorium do not leave until intermission or once the show has finished.
- Got the sniffles or a cough?
Please find your hankie and undo your crinkly cough drop wrappers before the
show begins!
- Unplug! Please
remember to turn off cell phones, pagers, and wristwatch alarms when you enter
the theater.
- Sorry - no recording equipment of any kind
(still cameras, flash cameras, video recorders, audio recorders) due to
copyright laws.
- Please make sure the show you are attending is child-friendly as some shows may use special effects or contain mature content. If your small child becomes fussy, we ask that you take the child to the lobby and wait until intermission to return to your seat.
Refreshments are served in the side lobby before the show starting at 7:30pm (evening
shows) or 1:30pm (matinees). You are invited to visit with your friends
in a congenial atmosphere prior to the show. Refreshments are served during
Intermission also.
