"HOW TO AUDITION FOR A MUSICAL"Teaching staffRichard Wagner - Professional singer/actor. His career has spanned opera, musicals, and straight theater. He has moved to Corvallis in a state of semi-retirement to teach voice, and to share his extensive performance acumen with any who would like to become a better singing actor. Mary Jeanne Reynales - recently voted Gazette Times Reader’s Choice “Best Director” will be directing CCT’s big musical, RAGTIME, in May of 2007. OPEN AUDITIONS: February 5, 6, 7, 2007. Bruce Bragg - CCT Director of past shows including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and The Odd Couple, has been involved with every aspect of theater since his high school days in the 1960’s in Southern California. When: Tuesday, January 16, 2007, 7:30-9:30 P. M. Where: Majestic Theater, 115 SW 2nd Street, Corvallis, Room TBA Cost: $5.00 per person Why: To cover the pianist’s fee Bring: Sheet music to a song you want to sing. The music must in the key in which you are going to perform the song. Ideally, the song will be memorized, but if it isn’t you will need a copy of the music for the accompanist and for yourself. If you don’t bring a song we will have a couple of simple popular songs available. An accompanist will be provided. You may attend the class without singing if you like.
