It's possible for a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage...for a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in marriage. It's Cinderella, the magical family musical from Rodgers & Hammerstein, and it's coming to the Majestic August 4 through 20 as the glorious crowning jewel of the Corvallis Community Theatre season.
Directed by Christi E. Sears and starring soprano Karen Hansen-Smith as Cinderella and tenor Joseph C. Battrick as Prince Charming, this marvelous family entertainment filled with glorious song, dance and wishes-can-come-true fantasy is a must-see this August. There will be eleven performances including three afternoon matinees.
The cast of nearly forty Corvallis-Albany area performers will include Ray Phipps as the King, Claire Hauge as the Queen, Carrie Moffatt as Stepmother, and Gina Reynales as Stepsister Portia and Rachel Hauge as Stepsister Joy. Fairy Godmother will be played by Joy Hill, and Christopher J. Battrick will play the Herald.

Working with director Christi E. Sears will be music director Dow Yeh, vocal director Dean Kennedy, and choreographer Kristin Marvel. Set designer is Jack Wirtz.
